A few blog entries back, Exadel launched its Cloud in a Box product hosted on Amazon EC2. We are quite proud of this end-to-end solution for building Rich Internet applications on the Amazon Cloud (or for downloading and building RIAs on a different host). To provide this, Cloud in a Box stacks together a number of open source technologies. And, one of the key technologies is Ingres Database.
So, we were quite gratified to be one of the two Ingres partners recently highlighted by Ingres for our cloud-based use of Ingres Database. Here is what one customer quoted in the press release had to say about both Exadel and Ingres:
“Kettle River was able to deploy an Ingres web application into Exadel’s pre-packaged cloud environment in less than an hour,” said Michael Leo, director, managed services, Kettle River Consulting. “Setup was flawless and the Java environment more than met our expectations, but it was the speed that really impressed us. We were amazed at how fast we could create either development or deployment of a production application in the cloud. Exadel really thought this through and Ingres Database fits in nicely in the stack. We will definitely encourage our Ingres clients to deploy new or existing applications to take advantage of cloud computing when it makes sense for them.”
We look forward to more opportunities to work with Ingres to provide better value for customers on and off the Cloud.
