In practice, the classic JSF validation approach usually violates DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself), since most “validation” actually enforces constraints that are part of the data model all the way down to the database schema definition. However, Seam provides support for model-based constraints defined using Hibernate Validator. Moreover, you can use Hibernate Validators for your bean together with the data model.

A new release with several bug fixes is now available for Exadel Flamingo to download.
This is an open source project developed by Exadel engineers. It provides the integration “glue” for using rich user interface technologies (JavaFX or Flex) with Java Web application frameworks (Seam or Spring).
