As announced in our “Open Source Meets Mobile” webinar on Tuesday, we’ve created a fork in the development of Exadel Flamingo. This slimmed down 2.1.1 version is targeted to Android developers. It also migrates Flamingo over to Maven 2.2.1. You can download Exadel Flamingo for Android 2.1.1 from our site now.
There’s still time to sign up for a webinar we’ll be giving next week to explain and demonstrate how we use Exadel Flamingo for mobile commerce.
We’ve recently posted a slide show for demonstrating the features of the iPhone client that works with our Exadel M-Commerce Solution, our great package based on Exadel Flamingo for “mobilizing” existing e-commerce functionality. Back in December, Andrew Komolov posted Flamingo for Android about a new version of Flamingo with support for mobile clients including Android. Exadel is about to release a new Exadel Flamingo 2.1.0 release, aka “Flamingo for Mobile.” We’ve added Android and J2ME support in addition to JavaFX and Flex connectors. We’ve also added a long-awaited push feature using Hessian for Flex/AIR. Read more »
