Today, Exadel and the Wholesale Applications Community (WAC), a not-​​for-​​profit or­ga­ni­za­tion serving the global telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions in­dustry, an­nounced a part­ner­ship that will help de­vel­opers and net­work op­er­a­tors gen­erate new rev­enues from mo­bile ap­pli­ca­tions. The first step in this part­ner­ship is to en­able users of Tiggzi Mobile App Builder, our cloud-​​based cross-​​platform de­vel­op­ment en­vi­ron­ment, to easily uti­lize WAC’s in-​​app billing API to offer in-​​app billing ca­pa­bil­i­ties without the need for a credit card or PayPal account.

Exadel re­cently re­leased a new white paper: The Client-​​Cloud Paradigm and the API Economy. In this paper, we talk about the shift from the client-​​server model with its more fixed con­nec­tions to a client-​​cloud model in which the dis­trib­uted na­ture of com­puting makes a quantum leap. We also dis­cuss the re­la­tion­ship of this major shift to the ex­plo­sion in API-​​defined ser­vices and the rise of the “cit­izen developer.”

NAMM — A wild ride. As we speak, Michael Ruiz, Murietta Valley Unified School District, is talking about Tiggzi for Musicians at NAMM’s “Best Tools for Schools” ses­sion.
