CityTech Embraces Exadel Flamingo
Yesterday, Sten Anderson from CityTech (IT consultants) made a presentation on JavaFX technology at the Chicago Java Users Group. At this event, he mentioned our free, open source Exadel Flamingo as a good library for working with JavaFX.
When we hear this sort of thing, we get quite excited. We’re glad to see the word start to get out about our Exadel Flamingo platform for easily integrating rich UI technologies like Flex and JavaFX with advanced Web application frameworks like Seam and Spring.
Also, in a blog entry on the CityTech Web site (“Exadel Flamingo and Seam”), John Kraus discusses how Exadel Flamingo specifically made a big difference in a project to add CRM functionality to a teleconferencing services client using Seam. Once the original application was set up, CityTech turned to JavaFX as a UI to add on top. This would have been a daunting task except that Exadel Flamingo was there to ease the way.
Basically, flamingo allows you to expose Seam actions to RIA consumers, specifically Flex and JavaFX.
Now that we see how people are beginning to embrace Exadel Flamingo, it gets us even more excited about further extending the platform. Stay tuned!
And, thanks to John Kraus and Sten Anderson for the mentions.
